What Psychology Means to Me & GTE

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. For Jeanette and GTE, it also represents a disciplined way to better understand how people think, feel, respond, relate, heal, adapt, and grow. It complements GTE's core values of healing, growth, reflection, education, advocacy, and community by grounding those values in deeper study of human development, relationships, resilience, and well-being.

Long-Term Professional Direction

After completing her undergraduate education, Jeanette intends to continue the graduate education, supervised clinical training, and professional licensure required to pursue a career providing mental health therapy, with areas of interest that include trauma and abuse, family relationships, and marriage/couples therapy.

Student Learning & Free 30-Minute Consultation

While completing her undergraduate studies, Jeanette may offer a free 30-minute non-clinical consultation for wellness/resource-navigation and educational learning purposes. These conversations are not psychotherapy, diagnosis, psychological testing, treatment, or a substitute for a licensed mental health professional. Jeanette will not represent herself as a licensed therapist or clinical psychology intern unless and until she is formally placed in an approved, supervised clinical training role.

Any collection or use of information for formal psychological research or training will occur only when permitted by the applicable academic program, with appropriate supervision, consent, privacy protections, and institutional requirements.
